The Council of the Eastern Churches met the Premier of New South Wales

On Wednesday 15/8/2017, His Grace Archbishop Amel Nona,
with the representatives of the Eastern churches together met with Premier of New South Wales Gladys Berejiklian to congratulate her on takes office.
The Council of the eastern churches presented to the Premier some of the moral issues raised recently in Australia and other issues of concern, for example, same sex marriage, religious freedom and freedom of speech, as well as the issue of immigration, newcomers and the challenges that they are facing.
Premier has shown great openness to what has been put forward and proposed to continue the meetings to keep pace with the future events.
