Within the series lectures of His Grace Archbishop Amel Nona during the season of Lent, the second lecture has been presented last Sunday 10/3/2019 at St. Mary’s Assumption Church/Fairfield with great number of the attendees who had an effective participation in the discussion.
The lecture was about (Leprosy) in where His Grace gave a general idea about the disease, particularly according to the Bible emphasizing on the concept of ( purification) in our faith and how Jesus deals with who are considered as (impure) not by forbidding them but with mercy, love, forgiveness and healing as the disease was associated with sin!.
For Jesus, every person is more valuable than any external impurity, we need to learn who to respect the dignity of the person and treat him with mercy.

the lecture will be titled: Deafness and Tongue syndrome, and will be held at st. Thomas cathedral.
ضمن سلسلة محاضرات سيادة المطران مار اميل نونا لزمن الصوم، قدّمَ سيادته المحاضرة الثانية بعنوان: ( البرص) حيثُ أعطى سيادته فكرة عامة عن المرض، ونظرة الكتاب المقدس له في العهد القديم، مع على موقف يسوع تجاه هذا لامرض الذي كان مرتبطاً بمفهوم ( النجاسة والطهارة)، مؤكادً سيادته على مفهوم ( الطاهر والنجس) في أيماننا المسيحي، كيف اننا مدعوون لنتعلم من يسوع الذي تعامل مع المرض بالرحمة والغران، والشفاء لن المرض كان مرتبطاً بمفهوم الخطيئة. مع يسوع، كل إنسان بحد ذاته يستحق الحب واحترام كرامته الإنسانية كونهث مخلوقٌ على صورة الله ومثاله، وجوهرة كإنسان هو الأكثر أهمية في نظر يسوع من أي (نجاسة خارجية).
أقيمت المحاضرة مساء الاحد الماضي 10/3/2019 في قاعة كنيسة انتقال مريم العذراء/ فيرفيلد بحضور جمع كبير من المؤمنين الذين تفاعلوا مع الموضوع بشكل كبير في المناقشة وطرح الأسئلة.
