The Australian Catholic University (ACU) conferred an honorary doctor of the University (Honoris Causa) on Archbishop Bashar Matti Warda CSsR, the Archbishop of Erbil, Iraq on Tuesday 23 July at ACU’s St Mary of the Cross MacKillop Chapel in Fitzroy, Melbourne with attendance of His Grace Archbishop Amel Nona and our Chaldean priests from Sydney and Melbourne along with great number of Archbishop Warda’s family members and distinguished guests from ACU.
It is a source of pride and joy to have this great example of Archbishop Bashar Warda in our Chaldean Church, the church that is deeply rooted in its history of education and spirituality that teach us how to have constant strive to work hard for the common good and how to be true faithful whom live their faith in the heart of the most painful reality.
St. Thomas the Apostle Chaldean Diocese in Australia and New Zealand presents a warm congrats to His Grace Archbishop Bashar Warda for His great achievement, giving thanks to the Lord for blessing our Chaldean Church with such beautiful example.
