On Monday the 18th March 2019, His Grace Archbishop Amel Nona has welcomed Mr. Mark Lathemthe president of (NSW One Nation party), Mr. Grage Wash and Sophie Yourk from the (Conservation party), Dr. Con Kafataris, Mr. Hikmat Odesh and Mr. Hermiz Shabou from (Australian Christian Alliance) at the Chaldean Diocese office. During this meeting, His Grace Archbishop Nona has expressed his appreciation for all the good initiatives that seek to preserve and protect religious and speech freedom as well as support and value the family which face a serious risk and tribulation , stressing the importance of respecting the rights and dignity of people especially in practicing their beliefs and faith. In addition, Mr. Lathem and the accompanying delegation have shown a great and supportive understanding to the valuable statements of His Grace expressing their commitment and support towards ensuring the right of religion freedom to all. Before leaving, His Grace wished success to all, to serve this country in the way that ensure right and dignity to all people.
أستقبل سيادة المطران مار أميل نونا الجزيل الأحترام كل من: السيد مارك ليثيم (رئيس حزب (One Nation، والسيد كراك واش، السيدة صوفي يورك من حزب conservation، والدكتور كون كافاتاريس، السيد حكمت عوديش، هرمز شابو من التحالف المسيحي الأسترالي، وذلك نهار الاثنين الماضي 18/3/2018 في دار المطرانية. أثناء اللقاء عبّر سيادة المطران عن تقديره لكل المبادرات التي تسعى الى حفظ وحماية العائلة، والحرية الدينية وحرية الكلام التي هي في خطر حقيقي اليوم، كذلك شدد سيادته على احترام الكرامة الإنسانية وخاصة في حق الانسان لعيش معتقداته وممارسة طقوسه. من جانبهم، ابدى السيد ليثيم والوفد المرافق له عن تفهّماً واحتراماً كبيراً لكل لما طرحه سيادة المطران من قيم مهمة، مؤكدين على سعيهم والتزامهم للسعي نحو المحافظة وحماية هذه الحقوق للجميع. في ختام اللقاء، تمنى سيادته التوفيق للجميع من اجل خدمة هذا البلد بالشكل الذي يضمن حقوق مواطنيه كافة.
